Switzerland

Switzerland is a federal country found at the central part of the Europe. It would be right to call Switzerland a peaceful country since it has experienced a long-lasting political rest over years. This could be the reason most of the international organizations including the United Nations have their headquarters in the major Switzerland cities such as Geneva. The country is administered through a parliament, and it is divided into 26 cantons. The bordering countries are Italy, France, Germany as well as Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. These neighbouring countries surround Switzerland from all sides and therefore the country does not border any water body. The renowned landmarks in the country are the clock tower in Bern and the Cathedral of Bern. Both of them are in the Bern City, which is the capital city. The country lies in 41285km2 land. The Switzerland Mountains occupy the larger part of the country with the Alps to the south and the Jura in North West. The rest is a plateau where most cities are located. This means that most of the Switzerland nationals live in the plateau area of the country. It has a population of about 8 million Swiss citizens.
